Privacy Policy

TAZhealth (“we”, “us”) is a Nigerian nonprofit public health initiative. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, outreaches and TAZ AI, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and handle health information with extra care.

Website visitors: information you submit through our forms (such as your name, email, phone number and message) and basic, anonymous usage data to help us improve the site.

Outreach patients: with your consent, your name, age, phone number, community, and health readings such as blood pressure and blood sugar, recorded by our health workers.

Volunteers, partners and donors: contact details, role preferences and, for donors, transaction records handled by our payment partner. We never store full card details.

To provide care: triaging risk, sending follow-up SMS, alerting clinicians about high-risk readings and supporting referrals.

To respond to you: replying to enquiries, coordinating volunteers and managing partnerships and donations.

To improve our work: producing anonymised, aggregated reports on outreach reach and outcomes. These reports never identify individuals.

We ask for consent before registering any patient on TAZ AI or sending messages. You can withdraw consent at any time: reply STOP to any SMS, or contact us directly.

You can unsubscribe from our newsletter using the link in any email.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with clinicians and health facilities involved in your care, service providers who help us operate (such as SMS and hosting providers) under strict agreements, or where required by law.

Patient data is encrypted on devices, in transit and at rest. Access is role-based, so people only see what their role requires.

We keep personal information only as long as needed for care, legal or reporting purposes, then securely delete or anonymise it.

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. We’ll respond within 30 days.
